If you haven’t caught up with our recent articles describing how Decentr is building a Web browser that functions as a “user layer” for blockchain, which is readily deployed across a range of blockchain/DLT solutions, including TomoChain, Holochain, etc, then please do so now.
This will put into context our latest screenshots that give you a feel for how data is displayed and contextualised, both for casual readers and avid dPosters.
Our previous article described how the user layer works, and how users can determine and improve their data value: the screenshots below give you a feel for the information you receive when you click on a post with a view to reading the full text, all while increasing your engagement within the decosystem (including dPosting the post if you choose), and hence improving your PDV.
However, Decentr also offers a “timeline” feature , whereby the same articles are summarised and laid out as an infinite up/down scroll. This allows users to see at a glance the context of the post they clicked on and “jump off” the timeline at any point by clicking on any article that interests them, and then continue to pursue the evolving context from there.
This level of engagement is critical due to the fact that this engagement increases PDV by engaging with relevant content, while also allowing users the option to dPost at any point of their scroll-able journey, further increasing PDV though the significant generation, reuse and exchange of data that dPosting encourages. The dashboard night mode screenshot below illustrates how PDV can be interrogated by the user with a view to pursing activities that positively influence PDV. (See the full article on Decentr analytics here.)
As described in our previous article, any post you click on is automatically situated within the timeline of when it was dPosted, and can be traced back to source by clicking on the “@Name dPosted [Article title]” (see image below), within each article, taking you backwards (or forwards if you scroll up) in time through the dPosting sequence, allowing you to review each article as a full text article, with links, history etc, while getting the most out of the information as it is continually structured and refined by successive users.
This is an exciting new, and very dynamic way of keeping up on the news and information in your favourite subject areas as part of our 100% decentralised “user layer”: on Decentr, all information across Web 3.0 is yours to contextualise and digest as you desire, while giving you the opportunity to contribute to the data structuring process by dPosting your own responses, improving your PDV in the process.
