The Decentr Charon Module forms a major part of our MVP release, as it is the browser extension/plugin, compatible with Chrome v58+ and Firefox v56+, a user layer that allows access to other internal Decentr modules, ensuring user data in the Decentr ecosystem is moved safely and securely between destinations.

Charon, a Roman underworld god, ferries souls of the newly deceased safely from the world of the living to the world of the dead. In a similar manner, Decentr’s Charon module ensures user data moves within the Dcenter ecosystem safely and securely, always arriving at its intended destination.
Following on from our recent release of Cerberus, our Proprietary Blockchain Storage Solution and Vulcan, our Proprietary Account Creation Module, Charon is one of the final steps and code releases before our MVP launch later this month!
The Charon module uses Angular 9 and TypeScript, enabling access to the Decentr user layer in a swift and safe manner across all operating systems, Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. It will be available as a downloadable extension/plugin in both the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Web Extension at the time of MVP release.
Our main Decentr library, Decentr.js, is also available on our Github and handles the transfer of data from Charon to Cerberus and the Decentr blockchain. This library is open source, allowing other dApp developers to connect to our blockchain and build applications on the Decentr blockchain and within the Decentr ecosystem.
