It’s definitely a step in the right direction, though I would argue we don’t have a data economy yet, just a data market place — big difference. Securitizing data is definitely the way to go as secure data is a far better “value store” than money. However, data flow also needs to be secure and decentralized and that is where we step in: no one has cracked 100% decentralized data flow, or even understands its parameters, and until this is sorted we’ll never have a true data economy available to all, just digital shades of the existing centralized mainstream economy that we’re all fed up with.
